man who trusts in the Lord, for he will be like a tree planted by the water,
that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat (testing,
adversity) comes; but its leaves will be green and it will not be anxious in
a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:5-8 Ah, Lord God! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens
and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm. Nothing is
too difficult for thee. Jeremiah 32:17 Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man
boast of his wisdom, and let not a mighty man boast of his might, let not a
rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts, boast of this, that he
understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who exercises grace, justice and
righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the
Lord. Jeremiah 9:23,24 Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be
dismayed, for I am your God: I will strengthen you, yes, I will help
you; yes, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ___________________________________________________________ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will
revive me: you will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
and your right hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns
me: thy mercy, O Lord endures forever. Psalm 138: 7,8 And the Lord will guide you continually, and
satisfy your soul in scorched places, and make your bones strong; and you
shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water whose waters fail not.

Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would
